Wei Zi Fu, the empress of the Han Dynasty, is an inspiring figure who overcame humble beginnings to become the longest-reigning empress in Chinese history. She was born to a low-ranking servant and worked as a dancer for Princess Pingyang to support her younger brother, Wei Cheng, after their mother passed away. One day, when the emperor visited the princess, Wei Zi Fu was allowed to perform and impress him. The emperor was so impressed that he took her and her brother to the palace.
