양반가의 아들 이대길은 노비인 언년이와 사랑에 빠지지만 그들의 관계를 인정하지 않는 대길의 아버지는 언년이를 가두고 벌을 내린다. 이에 언년이의 오빠는 화를 참지 못하고 대길의 집에 불을 지르고 언년이와 함께 도망치고 만다. 그렇게 집안이 몰락한 뒤 대길은 복수를 위해 추노꾼이 되어 도망친 노비들을 사냥한다. 한 편, 조선 최고로 검술이 뛰어난 장군 송태하는 억울한 누명을 쓰고 추노꾼 대길에게 쫒기는 신세가 된다.
Lee Dae-gil, a nobleman of Joseon, falls in love with a slave named Un-nyun, but Dae-gil’s father disapproves of their relationship and punishes her by having her locked up and beaten. Furious, Un-nyun’s brother burns down Dae-gil’s house and escapes with Un-nyun, leaving Dae-gil and his family with nothing. To take revenge, Dae-gil becomes a slave hunter to find Un-nyun. Meanwhile, Song Tae-ha, a General of the Army who is considered to be the top master swordsman of Joseon, finds himself on the run from Dae Gil\'s pursuit after being falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit.
