양반가의 아들 이대길은 노비인 언년이와 사랑에 빠지지만 그들의 관계를 인정하지 않는 대길의 아버지는 언년이를 가두고 벌을 내린다. 이에 언년이의 오빠는 화를 참지 못하고 대길의 집에 불을 지르고 언년이 와 함께 도망치고 만다. 그렇게 집안이 몰락한 뒤 대길은 복수를 위해 추노꾼이 되어 도망친 노비들을 사냥한다. 한 편, 조선 최고로 검술이 뛰어난 장군 송태하는 억울한 누명을 쓰고 추노꾼 대길에게 쫒기는 신세가 된다.
Lee Dae-gil, a nobleman of Joseon, falls in love with a slave named Un-nyun, but Dae-gil’s father disapproves of their relationship and punishes her by having her locked up and beaten. Furious, Un-nyun’s brother burns down Dae-gil’s house and escapes with Un-nyun, leaving Dae-gil and his family with nothing. To take revenge, Dae-gil becomes a slave hunter to find Un-nyun. Meanwhile, Song Tae-ha, a General of the Army who is considered to be the top master swordsman of Joseon, finds himself on the run from Dae Gil\'s pursuit after being falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit.
