준경이 사는 시골 마을은 오갈 수 있는 길이 기찻길밖에 없지만 정작 기차역은 없기 때문에, 매일 위험천만한 열차를 피해 길을 다녀야 한다. 그래서 준경의 목표는 마을에 기차역을 세우는 것인데, 청와대에 54번째 편지를 보내도 아직 답이 없다. 고등학생이 된 준경은 같은 반 라희와 친구가 되고, 라희의 도움을 받아 마을 이야기를 세상에 알릴 수 있는 가능한 방법을 모두 해 본다. 준경이 똑똑하고 비범한 걸 알아본 라희는 서울에 가는 걸 권하지만, 이미 아버지에게도 비슷한 제안을 들었던 준경은 라희의 제안을 거절한다. 준경이 자신의 재능을 펼칠 기회를 마다하고 기차역 설치를 포기하지 않는 건 이유가 있었다.
Joon-kyung's town, a remote village in the rural area, has only one way to get in and out: the railroad. But the town doesn't have a train station, making people walk along the railroad risking their lives. That's why Joon-kyung wrote letters to President: to ask him a train station that could guarantee people's safety. As a high school student, he befriends Ra-hee, who helps him do everything he can to tell the world about his town. Recognizing Joon-kyung's brilliance, Ra-hee proposes he go to Seoul to get a better chance, which he refuses. He has a reason why he rejects the offer and gets obsessed with the installation of the train station.
