한때 모범 경찰이었던 필재는 지금은 끊이지 않는 사건 수임으로 신이 내린 브로커라고 불리며 로펌에서 브로커로 일하고 있다. 어느 날, 필재와 그를 모시는 변호사 판수에게 사형수 순태로부터 편지 한 통이 도착한다. 세간을 뒤흔든 인천의 재벌 대해제철 며느리 살 인사건의 범인 순태는 자신의 억울함을 주장하고, 사건 브로커 필재는 점점 커지는 사건의 배후가 있음을 직감한다. 권력과 돈으로 살인까지 덮어버린 재벌가의 만행을 밝히기 위해 필재와 판수는 그들만의 특별수사를 시작한다.
Pil-jae, an ex-cop who is now working as an illegal law broker at a law firm, receives a letter from a death-row convict named Soon-tae, who was wrongly accused and arrested for the murder of the daughter-in-law of a major conglomerate. After reading Soon-tae’s letter, Pil-jae gets the feeling that there is someone behind the murder case and begins to search for clues to solve the case. As his investigation progresses, Pil-jae realizes that the case is more complicated than he thought.
