폼에 죽고 폼에 사는 날건달 필제는 재개발 지역에 사는 주민들을 몰아내는 일을 한다. 이번에도 사흘 안에 일을 마치겠다며 호언장담하며 도착한 1번가. 하지만 첫날부터 필재는 마을 사람들에게 꼼짝하지 못한다. 이곳엔 복싱 동양 챔피언을 꿈꾸며 가족을 돌보는 명란, 할아버지와 살아가는 일동과 이순 남매 등 각양각색의 사람들이 살고 있다. 명란을 비롯한 마을 사람들이 맡긴 온갖 잡일을 하게 된 필제. 게다가 사람들을 괴롭혀 마을을 떠나게 만들려고 필제가 내뱉은 거짓말들은 오히려 마을 사람들의 생활을 더 편리하게 만든다. 여러 일을 함께 겪으며 필제와 마을 사람들은 묘한 유대감을 쌓아간다. 하지만 이들의 작은 행복을 위협할 일이 찾아오는데...
Pil-je is a mid-level thug who just got a new mission: to kick out residents at a small village that is about to be redeveloped. Pil-je is confident that he can do the job in three days. On the first day, however, he is on the verge of defeat. People in this town are unique and strong, including Myung-ran, a girl who dreams of the World Boxing Champion. Somehow, Pil-je ends up being the servant of the town, doing things the villagers need. And the threats and lies he does to drive people out yield bad results for him but good outcomes for people. Gradually, Pil-je and the people develop a friendship. But their peaceful lives are facing threats from the outside.
