백화점 직원인 지숙은 어느 날, 큰돈을 줄 테니 자신과 똑같이 생긴 사람으로 잠깐 동안 살아달라는 제안을 받는다. 지숙이 살아가야 할 인물은 국회의원의 딸이자 재벌가 SJ그룹 장남 최민우와 결혼할 서은하이다. 그 제안을 한 사람은 SJ그룹의 사위 민석훈으로, 그의 아내 미연은 배다른 동생 민우와 후계 경쟁을 벌이고 있다. 지숙은 처음엔 제안을 거절했지만, 부모님이 겨우 마련한 가게가 빚 때문에 넘어갈 위기에 처하자 제안을 받아들인다. 그렇게 지숙은 은하가 되어 민우와 결혼하고 거짓 삶을 살아간다. 하지만 삶이 안정되고 민우를 좋아하게 되면서 자신이 저지른 일에 대한 부담을 느낀다.

Hiding our true selves under the masks, we lead a lonely life. Today is the age of materialism, and a married couple that left love and everything behind to get what they want discovers each other's true colors under their masks and realizes that love and family matter the most.
