차기영은 많은 이들에게 사랑받는 채널 코리아의 9시 뉴스 단독 앵커다. 어린 시절 무능했던 아버지를 보고 자란 탓에 결혼은 절대로 하지 않기로 다짐했지만, 그래도 아이는 키우고 싶은 마음은 있다. 그러던 중 방송국 광고주의 외아들이자 신문기자인 태연과 사랑에 빠져 아이를 가지지만, 우유부단한 태연에게 실망해 홀로 아이를 키우겠다고 선언한다. 한편 돈 많은 남자와 결혼하는 게 유일한 꿈인 현명이는 태연과 기영의 사이를 알면서도 태연에게 다가가고, 기영의 선배 앵커였던 은차는 불미스러운 사건으로 국회의원 도전에 실패한 뒤 방송국 복귀를 위해 기영을 이용하기로 결심한다.
Cha Ki-young is a beloved news anchor at Channel Korea. After witnessing her inept father, Ki-young pursues to live as a single, even though still wanting a child. Falling in love with the broadcasting channel's biggest advertiser's son Tae-yeon, Ki-young soon gets pregnant. However, being disappointed at Tae-yeon's wavering behavior, Ki-young decides to raise the child independently. Meanwhile, Myung-yi, whose only dream is getting married to a wealthy family, approaches Tae-yeon while she knows his relationship with Ki-young. To Myung-yi, morality is not an issue. After losing the election due to his sex scandal, former anchor Euncha decides to take advantage of Ki-young's situation to get his position back at the broadcaster.
