2011년 부산 영도. 노동운동가이자 26살에 한진중공업에서 해고당했던 용접공 김진숙은 42살이 된 해 다시 85호 크레인에 올라간다. 고공에서 노동자의 권리를 위해 투쟁하는 그를 걱정하는 사람들은 그를 지원할 응원단을 조직한다. 김진숙을 위한 '희망버스'는 아침 일찍 서울에서 사람들을 싣고 출발해 늦은 오후 부산에 도착한다. 사람들은 깔깔깔 모자를 쓰고 저 높은 곳에서 김진숙이 들을 수 있도록 큰 목소리로 응원한다. 다큐멘터리는 희망버스에 동승해 사람들이 버스에 탄 이유를 청해 듣는다. 또한 김진숙이 무사히 투쟁을 마칠 수 있길 간절히 바라는 사람들이 각자의 자리에서 희망을 만들고 연대하는 과정을 담아낸다.
In 2011 Yeungdo, Busan, Kim Jin-sook, a labor rights activist and former welder who got fired a decade ago, climbed the No. 85 tower crane for protest. People who worried her possibly taking an extreme measure formed a weekly tour to support her. The "Hope Bus" departed in Seoul in the early morning and arrived at Busan in the late afternoon. People wore 'roughing hats' and cheers loudly so Kim can feel the love for her from up high. The documentary listens to diverse passengers' motivation to join the tour, as well as the solidarity among people who hopes Kim's safe return and improvement of the condition in the workplace.
