The series focuses on Im Kkeok-jeong, one of the famous thieves of Joseon Dynasty. He has massive strength enough to throw a giant rock or root up a big tree, but he was destined to live a lowly life because he was a butcher's son. He eventually became a head of thieves comprising of people with unique strengths and backgrounds. The thieves became a joy and hope for people, as they steal fortunes from corrupt officers and filthy riches.
