여름과 태하는 10년 전 진주역으로 가는 기차에서 만나고, 하룻밤 동안 함께 여행하면서 사랑에 빠진다. 불같았던 두 사람의 사랑은 5년 후, 그들이 처음 만났던 진주역 타는 곳에서 끝난다. 그리고 5년 후인 현재, 여름은 친구 윤솔과 가구 공방을 운영하면서 안정된 생활을 하고 있고, 따뜻하고 온화한 성품의 성형외과 의사 남하진과 사귀고 있지만 아직 결혼에 대해선 논의한 적은 없다. 그런 여름에게 운명이 또다시 장난을 치기 시작한다. 태하가 여름의 앞에 다시 나타난 것이다. 여름이 태하와 뜨겁게 사랑했던 날들을 떠올리면서 여름과 하진의 관계는 조금씩 균열이 간다. 한편 태하는 여름과 연애할 때 자신이 잘못한 것들을 하나씩 반성하고 여름의 마음을 다시 잡으려 한다.
