조선의 왕자 이린은 귀신을 볼 수 있다. 난봉꾼 종친 월광대군으로 살던 그는 자신의 능력을 알아본 야경꾼 무리에 합류, 귀신의 힘을 이용해 조선을 혼란에 빠뜨리고 나라를 손에 넣으려는 무리의 실체를 밝히는 데 나선다. 언니를 찾기 위해 한양으로 온 백두산 출신 도하는 위기에 빠진 이린을 구하면서 그와 인연을 맺는다. 한편 조선 최고의 검객 무석은 이린을 따라 야경꾼 무리에 합류하는데, 도하를 사랑하게 되면서 이린과 무리에 대한 충성심을 시험받는다.
