영수는 가족을 아끼고 열심히 일해서 생계를 이어가는, 시골의 평범한 중년 사내다. 매주 사던 복권이 운좋게 당첨된 날, 그는 그동안 겪은 삶의 고난을 보상받은 것 같다. 고생도, 돈 걱정도 없는 행복한 날이 계속되던 중, 그는 친구들과 뒷산으로 멧돼지 사냥을 나가 총 을 쏜다. 그리고 그날 밤, 아들 인성이 돌아오지 않는다. 가출한 것일까, 실종된 것일까? 모두가 인성의 행방을 걱정하는 가운데 영수는 자신이 그날 아들에게 총을 쏜 것이 아닐까 불안에 떤다. 그의 불안은 주위 사람들에 대한 의심으로 번지고, 이는 끔찍한 결과를 가져온다.
Young-soo is a middle-aged man from a rural village who lives an earnest life and loves family and friends. He feels he finally gets some rewards when he wins a lottery. As the most content and peaceful days go on, he goes on a boar hunt with friends and shoots something. That night, his only son In-sung doesn't come back home. Does he leave the house, or is he missing? Everybody worries about his whereabouts, but Young-soo feels terrified, anxious that he might shoot his son that day. His anxiety soon turns into suspicion, which brings devastating consequences.
