한길로는 어릴 때 007 영화를 본 후 스파이가 되길 꿈꾼다. 국정원 입사 시험은 필기에서 탈락의 고배를 마시지만, 아버지의 바람과 달리 가업을 물려받을 생각은 전혀 없다. 평범한 대학생 김서원은 다큐멘터리 PD를 위해 방송사 입사 시험을 준비하면서, 넉넉하지 않은 형편 때문에 아르바이트만 몇 개를 하고 있다. 두 사람은 서원이 급한 돈 때문에 나간 아르바이트 자리에서 만났지만, 서로에게 최악의 인상만 남긴 채 헤어진다. 얼마 후, 드디어 국정원 입사 시험에 합격한 길로는 그곳에서 동료가 된 서원과 재회한다. 몸과 정신 모두 타고난 국가 요원인 길로와 어쩌다가 국정원 직원이 된 서원. 두 사람은 끊임없이 티격태격하면서도 친해지고, 조금씩 호감을 품는다. 하지만 어떤 사건 때문에 길로는 국정원에서 쫓겨나게 되는데...
Han Gil-lo dreamed of being a spy since watching a James Bond movie in his childhood. Even though he constantly fails the written exam, he can't give up his goal despite his father's wish to inherit the family business. Kim Seo-won, an average university student, wants to be a TV documentary director. She keeps studying to apply for the broadcasting company's producer position while doing several part-time jobs to make ends meet. The two meet at one of Seo-won's gigs but give each other wrong impressions. Later, the two meet again as rookie agents at the NIS. Despite the vast differences and wrong first steps, the two gradually get close. However, things change when Gil-lo gets kicked out of the agency.
