부처님 오신 날을 기념하는 봉축식이 서울 조계사를 비롯한 전국의 사찰에서 일제히 봉행된다. 지난 4월 30일 열려야 했으나, 코로나19 위기 상황 극복에 집중하기 위해 한 달 미뤄 진행한다. 올해 행사에선 부처님이 이 땅에 오심을 찬탄하면서 한 달 동안 진행한 코로나19 극복과 치유를 위한 기도를 널리 나눈다.
Buddha's Day Celebration Ceremony is held at Jogyesa as well as the other temples in the country. It was supposed to be held on April 30th but postponed because of the noble coronavirus. This year's ceremony will celebrate Buddha's coming to the world and share the 30-day-prayers for coping with the pandemic.
