중앙일보가 삼성화재가 후원하는 국제 기전으로, 국내외 프로 기사는 물론 아마추어 기사도 참여 가능하다. 국내 예선을 시작으로 약 3개월 간 경기를 진행하며, 통합 예선을 통과하거나 시드를 배정받은 선수 32인이 본선을 치러 우승자를 가린다.
Samsung World Baduk Masters is the international Baduk league held by JoongAngIlbo and sponsored by Samsung. The league begins with the preliminary rounds, and 32 players who get advanced or are given the seeds will compete in the main event.
